Venice is a unique place to visit within greater Los Angeles. A little slice of the beach that has the energy and vibe of the 60's in spots but it has become a very trendy hip "now" scene in its own funky charming way. Venice has an annual art walk, its beautiful private gardens open to the public with its annual garden walk, and it has many public events at the beach. The charm of walk streets, canals and beaches make for lazy relaxed days. Shopping is super convenient and walking distance to Whole Foods, 99 cent store, drug stores, Smart and Final, Ross Dress for Less and more. Evenings there are eateries, and various galleries and music venues on Main Street and Abbot-Kinney Blvd. establishments to peruse. For the eco-motivated individual, there are beach cleanups and fundraiser events throughout the year. All just a few blocks away, from this peaceful eco-rental in a very walkable setting! You do not need a car to enjoy this vacation destination!

LAX is only 20-30 minutes away. There are numerous attractions in nearby Santa Monica and greater LA. It would take several trips to cover all there is to see and do.

Venice has changed over the years,.. for lots of information visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venice,_Los_Angeles,_California and the historical society at http://veniceofamerica.org/
